Technology in the Classroom
The Hill Academy offers an enriched academic program which uses multiple tools in and out of the classroom to give students different learning approaches. The Hill Academy is a wireless campus with all classrooms linked to a wireless network. Each student is equipped with an Apple iPad allowing teachers and students the ability to use state of the art technology to enhance the learning experience. Through the use of such programs as Inkwell and Dropbox, students are able to access up to date class notes and assigments. All students are provided with an Outlook account under firstname.lastname@thehillacademy.com which can be used both at school and at home.
How the iPads are Used:
In order to teach as effectively as possible, our teachers at The Hill are able to utilize various educational apps that allow them to help communicate with students quickly and efficiently.
Teachers may quiz students before actual assessments take place and receive instantaneous results that allow them to observe each student's progress towards their test preparation.
Teachers may also exchange written documents with students within simple document sharing applications and provide quick and valuable feedback throughout the essay writing process.
