Dishwasher/Server
The Hill Academy – Caledon, ON L7K 1S7
Hours: Weekdays (Mon-Fri) Dayshift - approx. 33 hrs/week at $20/hr
Reports to: Head Chef
Summary
As Dishwasher/Server, you will assist in the daily operations of the kitchen and play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are cleaned and sanitized promptly. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations, contributing to the overall hospitality experience for Hill Academy students and staff.
Dishwasher/Server Duties and Responsibilities
Individual positions may not perform all of the duties listed nor do these examples include all responsibilities of positions in this class.

Breaks down and cleans/sanitizes food service areas, workstations, and equipment

Serves food and beverage to Hill Academy students/staff

Maintains knowledge of menu items and all other offerings

Maintains appearance and cleanliness of food service areas during meals

Replenishes food and beverage product

Maintain proper sanitary conditions to meet health codes, including the cleaning of utensils, equipment and facilities; assure the proper storage of food

Provides excellent customer service

Maintains a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.

Adheres to Hill Academy safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation

Safety: Ensure kitchen safety standards are followed and make sure that all kitchen and wait staff adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen

Performs other related duties as assigned
Server Requirements and Qualifications

Demonstrates excellent customer service skills

Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures

A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.
