Type: Entry-Level (Part-time/Full-time)

Salary: Commensurate with experience (entry-level: $19-22 hour)

About Us

The Hill Academy was founded in 2006 to provide optimal academic and athletic programming for dedicated students. Hill graduates have been placed in some of the most prestigious academic and athletic institutions in the world, and many have gone on to become premier professional athletes in their sport. The Hill Academy is an ideal educational setting for students who are committed to striving academically, and who would like an opportunity to take an in-depth exploration into their respective sport. The Hill is an independent day and boarding school (Grades K through 12, with an optional PG year) Located in Caledon ON, just 45 minutes north of the GTA, the campus sits on 134 acres of beautifully forested land. The new campus will offer students a state-of-the-art athletic training experience, with new gym facilities, running and hiking trails, turf field, exclusive off-site rink access, and an expansive boarding complex.

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Media and Marketing Coordinator to join our team. If you're passionate about digital marketing, social media trends, and brand development, this is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

Responsibilities

As a Social Media and Marketing Coordinator, you will:

  • Assist in developing and executing social media content plans for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms

  • Create engaging and on-brand content (posts, stories, graphics, etc.) to promote products, services, or events

  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and interact with our online community

  • Conduct research on trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to optimize our social media presence

  • Support email marketing campaigns, including drafting copy, designing visuals, and tracking performance

  • Help track and report on social media and marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, sales, and product to align marketing efforts with company objectives

  • Assist in managing paid ads (Google, Facebook, Instagram) as needed

 

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

  • Passion for social media and understanding of platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar software

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlines

  • A creative thinker who enjoys coming up with new ideas and solutions

  • Prior experience in social media management or marketing (even personal projects or coursework) is a plus
