The Hill Eats

Established in 2025 at The Hill's Caledon Campus, The Hill Eats is a culinary experience for day students, residence students and staff alike. The Hill Eats is led by Chef Michael Chlapak, and is focused on FUELING OUR STUDENT-ATHLETES to ensure their bodies are nurtured and ready to take on the rigours of elite athletics.

Chef Michael's approach is to maximize taste and nutrition with the palettes of our student-athletes. Students that are living on campus have the unique opportunity to have three meals per day prepared by Chef Michael and his team. This opportunity affords these students the ability to have a thoughtful weekly menu that keeps student-athletes engaged with their nutrition, while also providing personal touches such as themed days around current events (ie. Super Bowl Sunday featured pub-style nachos and wings, Pancake Tuesday, Valentine's Day featured a 6 oz NY Striploin served with a mushroom sauce and parmesan dusted mini potato).

Sample Menu

The weekly menu is always being updated to reflect the changing seasons which is constantly bringing the availability of different sources of nutrition to the table. Chef Michael and The Hill Eats team love to create opportunities to introduce new and different foods and adjust the meal plan with the feedback from the students. Below you will find a sample menu that both day-students and student-athletes that are living on campus at The Hill would be able to enjoy.

The Power Bar

A daily hot spot for student-athletes, The Power Bar features a curated selection of leafy greens, grains, vegetables and protein. Student-athletes can choose from the daily featured meal or create a power bowl that has been tailored to their own unique tastes. Throughout this unique culinary experience, nutrition stays at the forefront of The Power Bar, exposing student-athletes to a variety of highly nutritious options. Each power bowl is then topped off with one of the many house made sauces or dressings, that are freshly handcrafted by Chef Michael and The Hill Eats team.
