Hill Girls U13 (2012-13) Travel Team 2023

Overview:

• Coached by Carly Quinn and Tory Merrill with assistance from current Hill Academy Girls Lacrosse players
• 1 x 90min practice/ week @ The Hill Academy Legacy Field
• Starting the week of September 11th and culminating with the Finger Lakes Tournament in Auburn, NY on October 21st
• Practice will run on Thanksgiving Monday October 9, 2023

Players will Learn:

Basic Skills and Strategies

• Proper technique for throwing, catching, cradling, 50/50 balls

Offensive Skills and Concepts

• Shooting
• Dodging
• Team strategies
• Off ball movement
• 2 man game
• Overall possession
• Riding

Defensive Skills and Concepts

• 1 vs 1 defensive basics
• Team strategies
• Seeing ball and girl (triangle concepts)
• Crashing
• Doubling
• Clearing

Goalies

• Basic fundamentals
• Positions in the cage (angles, holding stick, stepping)
• Clearing
• Communication

Cost:

• $310
• Includes tournament fee and pinnie to be worn at both the practices and games
• Families will be responsible for their own travel and accommodations to Ithaca, NY.

Travel costs, Hotel stays and meals are not included in the team fee and are the responsibility of the participant.
