The Hill Academy's Lacrosse Coaching staff is excited to announce the second annual Family Day 3v3 tournament. A fun way to spend your Family Day, with a guaranteed 3 games.

We will be limiting the event to 12 teams in each of two age divisions: 2015/16 born and a 2013/14 division.

12-Team Tournament Format Pool Play

 

The tournament will feature 12 teams divided into three pools of four teams.

• Each team will play three pool-play games, facing every other team in its pool once.

• Standings within each pool will be determined by points.

• Goal differential (GF − GA) will be used as the primary tiebreaker to determine pool standings.

 

Playoff Qualification & Seeding

Following pool play, the top two teams from each pool will advance to the playoffs, creating a six-team playoff field. The six playoff teams will then be seeded 1 through 6 based on goal differential.

• Seeds 1 and 2 will receive a bye directly into the semifinals.

• Seeds 3 through 6 will compete in the quarterfinal round.

 

Quarter Finals

The quarterfinals will consist of two games played simultaneously:

• Quarterfinal 1: Seed 3 vs. Seed 6

• Quarterfinal 2: Seed 4 vs. Seed 5

 

Semi Finals

Following the quarterfinals, the semifinal matchups will be:

• Semi final 1: Seed 1 vs. Winner of Seed 4 vs. Seed 5

• Semi final 2: Seed 2 vs. Winner of Seed 3 vs. Seed 6

 

Championship Final

The winners of the two semifinal games will advance to the championship final, where they will compete for the tournament title.

 

Teams will consist of 7 players and 1 goalie, with each team responsible for their own jerseys. The Hill Academy Lacrosse Coaching Staff will reach out to confirm rosters prior to the event. All players will wear full box gear and games will be played using box lacrosse nets, rules and lacrosse balls.

 

Games are 25 minutes long run time, one referee, ensuring a fast-paced, fair game. Each team will play at least 3 games, to a maximum of 5. Ties will be settled by 1v1 Braveheart.

1. Secure your team's spot below by having your team's parent representative fill out to the form below. Make sure to secure your spot, as only six teams will be accepted.

2. Submit your roster to cameron.acchione@thehillacademy.com, rosters will consist of 7 players and 1 goalie.

3. Bring your own jerseys or pinnies.
