About the Event
Our fall sessions will follow a long-term athletic development model where we will shift the focus to improving overall athletic development and physical literacy, while using lacrosse along with a variety of sports to develop young players.
As youth coaches we want to take a broad, long term view. Development cannot be rushed and we want to avoid the temptation to over train and eventually create diminishing returns. The overarching goal is keep young athletes engaged and having fun. We want introduce simple lacrosse basics and fundamentals, while developing well rounded athletes, with a strong foundation for the long term.
The program will be a great complement to any other sports or activities that your son or daughter is participating in.
Sessions will focus on improving:
- movement skills
- object manipulation (e.g. throwing, catching)
- stability and balance,
- muscular and cardiovascular endurance
- speed and reaction time
