The Hill Academy and TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley to deliver Hill Golf Program

Caledon, ON [June 10, 2024] - The Hill Academy is proud to announce a partnership with TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley as the Official Training Facility of The Hill Academy Golf Program.

Recently announced as the host venue for the 2025 RBC Canadian Open, TPC Toronto features three of Canada’s Top 100 Courses, all-new practice facilities and stunning new amenities that make it one of Canada’s greatest golf destinations. TPC Toronto will provide coaching and instruction throughout the academic year, enabling student-athletes to train as part of their regular school day.

Student-athletes at The Hill Academy enjoy the distinct advantage of a world-class academic program, character development and leadership initiatives, while incorporating a complementary schedule to pursue athletic excellence. As graduates from The Hill Academy reach their next highest level of achievement, many are moving on to some of the top schools around the world, including NCAA schools such as; Princeton, Yale, Cornell, Harvard, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Duke, Syracuse, Rutgers and Northwestern to name a few.

"Combining the golf expertise from the TPC Toronto team with the physical education and individualized performance training offered through The Hill creates such a competitive advantage for these student athletes," said Drazen Glisic, Director of Athlete Development at The Hill Academy. "Receiving all of this instruction during the school day really opens up a whole new world for high performance athletes, who are used to rushing from school to the gym or the playing field, and then back home to finish their homework."

The Hill Academy's Golf program will be offered in two streams; competitive and pre-competitive. Instruction will be under the guidance of TPC Toronto Director of Instruction Braeden Cryderman. A former NCAA Division 1 golfer who now teaches a range of elite competitive players, Cryderman's instruction is designed follow the progression of high-performance athletes who are looking to achieve the highest levels of their potential. As part of his role at TPC Toronto, Cryderman is also overseeing the renovation of a new Academy Building set to open later this year, offering year-round access to training facilities with hitting bays, fitness equipment, a short game area and more.

Competitive Program (Junior and Senior School):

  • Practice Facility Access Monday-Thursday after 1pm and Friday-Sunday after 3pm

  • 27 holes per week (one 18 hole round and one 9 hole round) - booked at discretion of TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley

  • One session per week during the offseason in the TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley Winter Academy

  • Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) assessment for fitness training

  • Mental Coaching Sessions

  • Individualized golf program to further the student-athlete's game including:

    • Weekly one-on-one coaching with TPC Toronto Director of Instruction Braeden Cryderman

    • Weekly group instruction

    • Titleist club fitting session

    • The Hill Academy and TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley co-branded team uniform, including golf bag, polos, sweaters, pair of shoes and hats

Pre-Competitive Program (Junior School Only):

  • Monthly one-on-one sessions coaching with TPC Toronto Director of Instruction Braeden Cryderman

  • Four (4) hours of weekly group training sessions with a PGA of Canada instructor

  • On-course access with a PGA of Canada instructor

  • The Hill Academy and TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley co-branded team uniform, including golf bag, polo shirt, sweater and hat

  • Pre-competitive student-athletes receive multi-sport training focused on physical literacy and movement on days they are not at the golf course
