THE HILL ACADEMY IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF OUR NEW GOLF PROGRAM!

The Hill Academy announced on Wednesday the addition of a Golf Program to its list of unique academic and athletic programs for dedicated student-athletes seeking to succeed at the next level in education and sports.

Based out of The Hill’s new Caledon campus located 45 minutes outside Toronto, team members will conduct training at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, home of three of Canada’s Top 100 Courses and the only Canadian golf facility to join the PGA TOUR’s TPC Network.

The program will begin in late Summer 2020, continuing a tradition of preparing student-athletes to succeed at the next level in education and sports through flexible academic scheduling, focused coaching and values-based education.

“The addition of golf to our offering of athletics programs is an exciting development for The Hill Academy, and we’re thrilled to partner with a wonderful facility like TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley to help our student-athletes achieve the very best,” said Brodie Merrill, Director of Athletics for The Hill Academy. “We look forward to welcoming the next generation of Hill Academy attendees as they strive to achieve excellence both on the course and in the classroom.”

Student-athletes will train at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley’s practice facilities and courses and work with elite junior instructor Tyler McGhie along with support from staff professionals.

“The Hill Academy has proven itself to be a wonderful institution to help young people excel in a supportive, competitive community and we’re proud to announce our association,” said TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley President Chris Humeniuk. “Providing world-class facilities for talented, up-and-coming competitors to train and improve is an integral component of what we do, and we look forward to welcoming the first class of this program later this year.”

An independent school for dedicated student-athletes, The Hill has been preparing student-athletes for success at the next level with programs in academics and sports such as lacrosse and hockey since 2006.

Last autumn, The Hill announced a move to a new campus set in the rolling foothills of Caledon just 15 minutes away from TPC Toronto and 45 minutes outside Toronto.

Program elements for student-athletes will include full swing and short game instruction, mental game and performance coaching, fitness training, two winter training camps and more, with support from both TPC Toronto and The Hill Academy staff.

McGhie, who has spent his career instructing players from high-level juniors and amateurs to PGA TOUR winner D.A Points, will lead the instruction program including individualized plans for long-term player development, utilizing state-of-the-art techniques including 3D biomechanics and TrackMan technology.
