Caledon, ON [September 3, 2024] - The Hill Academy, an independent school for dedicated student-athletes is thrilled to welcome the first-ever primary grade students (grades 1, 2, 3 and 4) to the campus as part of the largest student population in school history with 261 eager students. With a steadfast commitment to academic excellence, character development and athletic pursuit, The Hill Academy is poised for its most successful year.
As The Hill opens its doors today, it welcomes the most diverse cohort of new and returning students, eager to work toward reaching their next highest level of achievement. The Hill Academy was founded on the credo that sport is a laboratory for life, and will promote physical literacy through movement and sport every single school day with its student-athletes.
The Hill Academy will compete with several sport specific teams under the Hill Pride banner, including; Boys Prep Lacrosse, Girls High School Lacrosse, Boys Varsity Lacrosse, Boys Junior Varsity Lacrosse, Girls Junior School Lacrosse, Boys Junior School Lacrosse, High School Golf, Boys U18 Prep Hockey and Boys U15AAA Hockey. Additionally, students have the opportunity to specialize in the development of sports such as hockey and golf, or gain a more general love of being active for life through a multi-sport program. The Hill Academy has also welcomed student-athletes competing at a high level outside of the school in sports such as tennis, soccer, volleyball and figure skating through its Hyflex program.

Addition of a dedicated Director of Residence to enhance on-campus experience for residence students
The Hill Lacrosse to host high-profile programs from Culver and Western Reserve Academy in home series
Renewed partnership between Hill Golf program and TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley offering student-athletes world-class coaching and unprecedented access to one of Canada's top golf facilities
Hill Hockey program will compete as a Hockey Canada sanctioned team at the U15AAA level for the first time ever
Greatest number of hybrid Lacrosse/Hockey student-athletes in school history
"The feeling of the start of the school year can't be matched," said Tory Merrill, Principal of The Hill Academy. "The excitement is so electric that you can feel it in the air. This year, with our first group of Primary student-athletes, its even more exciting, and I'm so proud to see what this school has grown into offering an educational pathway from Kindergarten all the way through high school graduation."
The Hill Academy invites parents, students, and the community to follow along all year by keeping an eye out for exciting events such as open houses, lacrosse and hockey games, and other initiatives.
